GotABackup is an independent, UK-focused guide to backup — written in plain English, for real people and small businesses, not IT departments.
How we research & score — honestly
- We research, we don’t lab-test. Our verdicts synthesise published expert testing, technical specs, provider documentation, real pricing and thousands of genuine user reports — then we say, in plain English, who each product is actually for.
- AI-assisted, human-honest. GotABackup’s research and writing are produced with AI. Our rule is simple: only claims we can stand behind, no invented hands-on tests, no fake ratings.
- Scores reflect fit. Out of 10, and always for a type of person — the best pick for a photographer isn’t the best pick for a one-laptop home.
- Never paid for rankings. We use affiliate links, clearly labelled (see our disclosure). They never change a score or a verdict — if the best pick earns us nothing, that’s still what we’ll tell you.
